NightShade pt.1 revenge

Plastered above head, the dark night sky wept tears of sorrow and agony, disappointed by the sight below. Soiled Blood dripped to the ground, the man’s sharp, glass-like nails breached the surface of her forearm; He offered a wicked smile allowing his forked tongue to slide over his lips after raising his hand to his mouth to get a small taste of the woman’s blood. His face looked distorted and gaunt, his hair matted and dirty, he looked as if he hadn’t took a bath in years. His cloths were simple and plain yet splattered with blood residue and sooty dirt. He looked like an orphan only uglier. The two figures had been staring down one another for quite some time with little word between the two. The girl didn’t seem too happy to see him nor enthusiastic at that.

“Your world is such a dream, a pathetic fabric of time”, He muttered more to himself than to her.

Hatsumi’s lips curled up to one side in a smirk, her eyes widened in amusement as she chuckled ever so slightly crossing her arms over her chest and bouncing one of her blades on a finger. Her right leg slid out behind her as she took a slight crouching position, twisting her torso she reached behind her body and clasped her hand around her other blade holstered in its sheathe.

“So you’re not gonna listen are you?”, He sighed.

The man only wanted to talk, though he presented himself as quiet the ne'er-do-well he actually showed a desire to communicate peacefully, though despite his attempts it seemed he would have no choice but to fight.

Walking forward the man took no stance nor saw fit to put forth a guard he merely progressed toward her. Sitting peacefully in his mind he knew he would have to kill her or she would just come back again, he had seen her kill others of his kind only a couple of weeks ago. This girl had some sick thing to her about killing vampires. Most of their kind were actually quiet thoughtful in the fact that they only feasted upon the blood of those near their death or the cruel. They were like the system that kept the sinners out of the villages, the good guys if you looked at it the right way, but still there was no reasoning with someone like her.

As soon as the blood sucker was a few feet away she made her first move, her body made a complete circle, interrupting the rains fall slightly, and she pulled out her second blade to revert back to her former stance without one arm behind her back. She was prepared and waiting a madness scorching her features.

The Man began to detour from his straight forward path as his body turned somewhat to her right. In the small interval of a raindrop falling a top a leaf his image blurred and his body moved at a speed untraceable by the naked eye. The only thing observable were the small after infractions his body made in the rains passage, the only way for Hatsumi to strike him or even evade his attacks would be to predict his actions and the barely audible sound that came from his light footsteps over the wet ground.

With little time to think she leapt backwards amongst the shelter of the trees, it left her with less openings and less to observe. If she could pinpoint his next movement and one more after that she could find an opening in his barrage and attack.

It took her a second to pinpoint his pattern, he moved with precision and his pattern was random with only small occurrences where he would snake to the left so as to throw her off and then rush forward again. She lingered and took a slow breath of dampened air, and began to count to herself

“1...2...3...4...5…”, she continued and as she neared the last number her head began to tilt upwards and her grip around her blades tightened making a inanimate sound. “…9…10”.

She had then raised her head high enough to the point she could see in a straight line ahead of her and a ghastly smile was on her face as her head in one flow swoop cocked to her right as the vampire appeared finally his hand upraised and hand stiffened to cast down in a quick and deadly cuff.

Her whole body bowed and twisted in unison and she dropped her right blade and quickly grabbed one of his arms making use of both her weight and strength to fling him behind her into a trees trunk causing him to double over to catch his breath. She quickly took the opportunity to rush her leftover blade into his vastly open flank.

He barely eluded it and flashed behind her, this was no ordinary human she was intelligent and actually predicted his movements and attack. Fear began to well inside him he hadn’t been holding back he was going full out. His breath was coming in gasps and his body lurched over momentarily forcing him to notice the pain coming from his side. He hadn’t dodged as well as he had assumed she landed her blow just barely causing a sizeable gash across his waist. His mind raced, he would be dead soon if he didn’t find a way to make her listen.

“Tentetsu...”, she lipped letting a smirk cross her face.
“Just let me talk to y-,”His eyes widened as a choked moan echoed from his windpipe.

The man blinked, his eyes seemed so distant, and slowly his leer watched as the blade she had dropped moments ago plunged through him and to continue forth, both blades now comfortably clasped in her grip. He started to sway and a snigger discharged from his oral cavity. The laughter must have been too much; it soon faded into blood secreted coughs.

Glancing down towards her blades, she stopped paying attention to the vampire and wiped the film of blood off of her Tentetsu taking only a second to glance forward as the wound through his heart began to eat way at his entire body. A new found sense of accomplishment rooted up in her soul, allowing her smirk to diminish and rest till another time.

Finishing up she looked over the blades definition and replaced them both back into their sheaths. Before snapping the hilts securely in place she hesitated, her emerald hues scanned her surroundings, something was amiss. She could feel it.

The rain was dying down a bit but still not enough to see clearly without straining her eyes. It was probably another little village kid, it happens; they can be curious little pests at times. So she turned around while at the same time locking her blades in place with a warming smile on her face to encourage the kid.

The sky flashed from a strike of lightning, contrasting upon her face as she twisted her smile into a detest filled grimace. Though she may not possess the ability to sense a vampire she knew one when she saw one.

She started to reach for her blades once more yet it was too late the new figure had already rushed up on her, wrapping his hand around her throat. He wasn’t playing with her, his grip was tight enough to snap her wind pipe if he continued on for longer than a few seconds, her vision was already going hazy. Still her hands struggled to pull out even one of her blades from its sleep.

The man didn’t give her the chance his free arm wrapped around her to secure her hands down tightly, making it impossible for her to reach any further. She started to struggle further, the action only made it more uncomfortable as he tightened his grasp both around her body and neck.

His expression remained constant and dull, no true emotion was visible through his eyes or any feature for that matter.

“Tentet…su”, she croaked with no sound.

He released her and leaped backwards a few yards, a second afterward the ground in her vicinity plunged inward turning the ground to a crevice of rubble and scattered dirt. The radius was only a few feet from her, not a great distance.

“I wander how you produce that power of yours,” The man’s voice was strong and demanding while at the same time it gave off a quizzical curiosity.

Hatsumi rushed towards the man, drawing her blades before her as she ran. She wasn’t flash the super hero or anything but she did have a speed about her. Once in his personal bubble she began her assault. Her body twisted and turned in a dance like beauty to slice him. Continuously he merely side-stepped or moved an inch or two from her intended impact point. A few times he had even grabbed her arms in mid swing and pushed her backwards. Finally she raised her arm up high and landed a deep gash across his chest. In the small interval of her making impact the Man gave off a confused expression.

“Makaitetsu!”, Hatsumi’s voice echoed and fell quickly and her smirk once again rose across her face.

An uproar of flames rooted from the slash she had moments ago landed and the man seem still surprised by the happening, yet was once again back to his emotionless state.

A few moments after his realization she began attacking once again landing one more slash that sent a flame across his arm before he leaped backwards about a fourth of a mile. In the passage of his body flowing away from her, his movement quickened as well did his speed.

“Humph..,” The man actually showed a bit of emotion as his lip twitched in articulating this. It was an amused sound while at the same time it gave off a curious complexity to it.

With how Hatsumi was going at the moment she left no opening nor chance for offense on the other guys part. Obviously she was gonna win no indecision about it. Once again she let her green orbs scan the battle, ......

to be continued
