BlackDawn ch. 1 -Expression.

Whispering winds softly lift pigments of the ground about its body of infinite space in a dance without words. A few feet behind this scene of natural beauty, a rising, raspy, rugged voice projects itself out into the crowd causing multiple bodies to stop and twist in its direction.

A man wearing a typical white butcher’s apron appears looking quite the detestable pig. Smeared blotches of blood and grease stretched from head to toe and his pudgy face protruded out far enough to cause your stomach to lurch. His clasped hands shook above his head in fury, obviously not very happy with the occurrence in the happening.

"Damn it Alice... you kids stay outta these parts," his face flushed and contorted with anger causing his furrowed brown tail and ears to stand erect.

The girls face flourished with thrill as her feet padded ever quicker away from the butchers stand and towards the rest spot. Only a millimeter away from her Ashura ran in unison, his breathing constant and steady despite his bewildered expression.

Coming to a halt Alice twirled about facing the young boy and pounced, without hesitation, landing squarely on Ashura's mid-section. With her legs straddled around his waist she leaned forward showing him the skewered meat she had clamped in her lips while she held his arms down with her occupied hands. With the more she leaned down the more her chest bulged together making him sweat a bit. Not noticing his reaction she let go of one arm and plucked the previously stolen skewer from her lips.

“Want some?", her voice sang in an excited and teasing chime.

Sitting up slightly his chest heaved forward with little to no effort as his white stalk tossed over his chest to shuffle beneath her nose, causing her to scrunch up her nose and fall back with a powerful sneeze.

"Do you really think we should have stolen that", He stood brushing off with one hand as  his ears hung down lower.

Alice smiled and then leapt upward with him. Stepping sideways she allowed a facade of sadness to wash over her complexion and in the same notion swung her arms behind her back to hide the skewer.

"I'm sorry Ashura I'm just having a little fun...I won't do it again", her voice cracked with perfect acting, and with the conclusion of the sentence her frown transformed to a smirk. After glancing at a near by Aratyiph entering its make shift cave from the soil of the ground, she brought the skewer from behind her back and began to enjoy its delicacy.
Aratyiph’s were typically found and seen in the skies with the Dera but around this time of the year they came to give birth to their parasitic children on Neos land…nasty little things they were.  Despite their quite gruesome birth and bond period with their mother the small beings were actually quite cute pals of the Dera.
“Hey! I never said I didn't want any...", she hands him some after letting her eyes linger on his enticing smile. "I just don’t want... the guards to get us."

Finishing his comment after a pause to take a huge bite, Ashura licks at his lips in pleasure with finishing his snack.

“Those exile haters can kiss my as--".

"They do protect us you know... Shoot we wanted to be them when we were little".

Ignoring Ashura, Alice walked over to a black oak bench and jumped atop the back rests top, balancing on one leg in a wobbly fashion. Her hazel orbs of green and blue halted for sometime over the merchant cities inhabitants. Neos like Ashura, Creatures that can produce either the gender of male or female. Extending from their padded behind are furrowed tassels of various colors and tints. Matching canine like ears perch high on their heads and extend in happiness and droop when the opposite emotion arises. Rhombus shaped markings vary in size on the center foreheads of the Neos. Dependent upon the power within the individual Neos, distinct lines stretch from both vertex on the left and right of the Rhombus and become darker and longer when they become more powerful. When displaying their supernatural abilities the lines contort and become like the image of a broken mirror across the surface of the Neos face. Alice had only once seen this occurrence within a battle between one of the guards and a post exile, though his cracks were few for his lines had not darkened very much.
Dera walked around as well, Human like organisms whom have dove like wings springing from their backs. It is more typical to see a female Deras though men Deras do exist but don’t tend to come from the skies very much. Dependent on the Deras power their pure white wings will enlarge and grow to a respectable size. Once to that height other wings will begin to grow dependent upon power. The Dera queen herself has 4 wings of respectable size. Dera as well have appendages coming from where a typical humans ears would rest and stretch out like dove wings. These appendages fold down when sad or unenthusiastic emotion is present and extend with surprise or happiness just as he Neos ears. Alice knew much of this from merely observation, since many of the high officials of the Dera came to the merchant city with their enlarged wings and their jewelry draped over their appendages to classify them from any meager Dera. The knowledge of the queens multiple wings came from the guards and Jade the empty. The land was theirs not the winged folks place to land, she thought. And of course there lived those like her who had not met the age of change yet.

While Alice scanned the ants of people Ashura looked as well and quickly rushed up on her. Before she could jump he let his strong arms wrap around her and caressed the volume of her body.

"Yours so warm", His voice came out in a whisper and his lips brushed over her neck right before he released her with a glowing smile.

"D-don't do that ", her octaves stuttered and came from her lips with little to no audibility.

“I can't hear you", He still stood close to her body les that an inch away, letting his tongue trailed over the nave of her ear.

She inhaled deeply making her chest and shoulders raise and began to turn to face him," I said--".

He left her with no reaction time, no time to even blink at that. As she turned his firm hands held her body against his...Close against his. Lips so succulent and sweet, they tasted of cake. The Gray Circumference of her eyes expanded and widened. His lips felt so good, so soft, so perfect. Slowing closing her eyes she let herself fall into his trance like state that he knew too well how to evoke. The wind blew by lifting the lucid skirt she wore a few inches and made sure to catch a few locks of hair to interrupt their moment.

Pulling backwards she allowed herself to catch her breath...almost heaving.

“Don’t faint I don’t wanna have to explain to your parents why your passed out in my arms...”, He smiled making sure to present his sarcasm.

“Shut up".

Twisting about once more she folded her arms over her chest pushing against her well endowed development. Her long sleeved, button up, white blouse, with one arm rolled up to just below the shoulder gave little cover to hiding her body when the light graced the skies with its rays of pure love. As she moved away Ashura rushed forward hurrying to grab hold of her black and white dangling chains that hung lifelessly from her waists' black beaded belt.

“Where you think you’re going?", His lip fell low in a pout like state.

She flipped her head to the side uttering a loud “Humph” sound while swatting at his hands. Just like a child would she continued to shuffle around her hips to urge his hands to fall. Her actions actually worked in a way since he let go…but then he walked far ahead of her before she could realize how far he had honestly walked.

Preparing to shout she licked her lips and took in a deep breath. Looking further ahead she thought better of it. Let’s make him sweat a bit, She convinced herself. And with that her mind began to spiral and contemplate various ways to make him race back to her. Hiding…no, how bout setting up a fake kidnapping…no.

Standing right behind her, Ashura sighed loudly. She doesn’t notice that …seriously. Come on. He shakes his head in disapproval and looks at her truly non-suited face of trickery as she continued to think up ways to make him do exactly as he had. Despite knowing very easily what she was planning he shrugged and put on a smile.

“What cha doin’?” His head cocked over and his coal black hair fell over half his face making an eerie shadow appear across his smiling face.

Alice’s body recoiled so fast she nearly fell before Ashura stepped forward to give her a structure to lean on. He always seemed to do this too, she thought.

Looking down Ashura’s eyes lingered on the cleavage that weighed against his chest and a blush came to his face before his arms rose to lift her in to a more balanced stance. “Come on can’t you stand on your own.”

“Oh, shut up”, she pulled her shirt back down since her bosom had risen moments ago revealing her small waist. “Besides I wanted to ask you something.”

“What’s that?”, Ashura’s face became serious once more while he turned away from her looking off a bit.

She gulped noticeably and then looked over at him with desperate eyes, “You know my birthday is coming up and all
Looking down for a moment Alice faked a smile and looked back up at him. “Well…”

Ashura couldn’t think of what was on her mind, what could it be…?. He contemplated. Was it something about their relationship…had he done something wrong…had he gone too far?

“What ever it is you don’t have to worry I’ll listen and understand. I promise.”

Ashura mouthed this as casing his arms around her and squeezing softly.  “I promise.” He rested his head on her shoulder with stating so.

Alice’s eyes shuffled unsure of how to word her question and lifted her head back to try meeting his gaze or at least feeling closer to him. “Well…I wanted to know if.

“If what”, His hands encased hers.

“If it hurts when we awaken”, Alice revolved to see face him to feel more secure in his grasp.

A great sigh fell from Ashura’s lips. Thinking of something much more dreadful had sent his heart drumming uncontrollably. If she had been upset with me I wouldn’t know what to do with myself. My life is Alice.

With the thought of Alice being displeased with him dismissed he could now relax and calm down.

“I’ll tell you later. K.” He smiled and ran off in to the crowd.

“Ashura!” Alice yelled and scrambled after him.

Ashura’s breathing slowed while he walked calmly through the crowds of people looking from side to side to make sure no one’s eyes were particularly glued to him or Alice who trailed behind a few feet. Spotting a guard at Pterlay’s, a popular mecha store, His hand outstretched to swiftly halt Alice’s zoned out steps. Pulling his index finger to his lips his expression yelled “be quiet”.

Alice, obviously living up to her position as Ashura’s pain in the ass for all eternity, rolled her eyes and pushed his arm out of her way and continued to straight towards the scene. She would find out what had occurred if it killed her.

Clanging off inside of the glass bordered building would have halted any typical person but the sound only made her brows arch in curiosity and her passage of direction to sway vastly in Pterlay’s vicinity.  The building was one of the few Dera and Neos collaborative shops in the area and also one of the top competitors in the region as well. Inching nearer to the scene her irises began to capture the destruction that had silently went about apparently not long ago because the debris still gave off smoke and heat. Now centered right up front before the store front her eyes widened it dismay and astonishment. Looking up to the buildings once bright fluorescently lit sign the damage could be summarized. The whole building had gone up in flames or possibly worse…Alice had heard of it before a power worse than hells flames themselves. Trailing her eyes back down to the shops blown out entrance her jaw dropped and a screeching scream rooted up though her throat.  Rather than the sound of an ear splitting scream the only sound heard by the sensitive ears of the Tairu guards was the grooving in the soil beneath Ashura’s precise feet.

Immediately a guard shot over to the spot the sound originated from with indescribable speed. After taking in the surroundings and surveying the area for anything out of place his glance fell to his feet. Kneeling down slowly, the Tairu’s covered fingers brushed over Ashura’s previous indentation into the ground. After lingering for some time his head motioned over to his companions and the group gathered with that same unrecorded speed in front of the rumble that once stood as Pterlay’s shop.

“No sign’s of Jade are left in the area, only pedestrian implements,” The Tairu who checked Ashura’s foot print voiced this through the covering over his face.

Looking about the area the most decked out guard whom presumably was the top commander looked out at all the guards and gave and assuring nod. The only indication of the Tairu being the commander was her respectably sized wings dressed in faux Sethium encrusted chain, which despite its mockery to the true Sethium still had a nice price tag attached to it. Coming to a round about summary of the area the commander motioned a “Come on” signal with her fingers and headed away from the scene’s evidence.
At a standstill against a cold wall Ashura let his grip over Alice’s warm mouth descent after waiting for the Tairu to distance away enough.

Alice’s ridged body trembled uncontrollably in his clutch and her heart beat skipped so many beats in the last minute that the beat itself could have concluded as inexistent. The rickety, tremulous motion of her lips spoke for her incapable need to speak.

“Shhh.. I know “, hugging her close to his core her shaking commenced to subside. Looking off over her shoulder his eyes squinted in what appeared as angry confusion. “Jade…?”

Pulling away from him after relaxing a bit her eyes looked down at an ash covered mecha part with her brows converged downward in painful disbelief. Even if they were a Neos and Dera couple…they didn’t deserve that kind of punishment. No one deserved that.

Watching His love pace back and forth it burrowed holes in him and made him want to go back in time to stop her from seeing the sight that she had.; The sight of unbearable agony and gruesome suffering upon both Dera and Neos. Not even blood could escape the torment.

“I thought that was a myth”, Alice’s voice flung him towards her, brushing her hair from her tear filled face. “I knew the Empty were real but Jade?”

“Me too but apparently the guards know more than we do,” His eyes squinted behind her deciding upon what to do with the situation.

Alice still stood stiff, not saying a word or anything for the matter. Images of the Pterlay’s shop owners shredded, slit, and strewn bodies still burned in her mind’s eye. Pieces of fickle matter, skin tissue, and small fragments of bone left ash soiled and blood across the stores mass. The way by which the bodies had been torn apart looked like someone had ripped them from the inside out then torched and crushed them. Thinking of what could have happened sent not only chills up her spine but unknown or explainable images as well. For a moment in the room of her thoughts she envisioned the scene of the Neos woman standing over her lover in a protective cross stance with her leg gashed and charred horribly along with many other wounds about her body. The scene quickly flashed over to an agonizing scream and the splatter of blood along with the rancid laughter of what sounded like a man.

“Alice!”, Ashura yelled at her over and over which inevitably drew her back in to the present world.

Her Body now sat huddled over in a position that looked most painful. Sweat stained her forehead and the sides of her face. Her whole complexion had a gaunt look to it. What had happened puzzled her enough to cause her too look over at Ashura and literally smack him upside the head.

“Ow!”, Ashura looked at her in dismay. “What was that for?”

“Cause…I don’t know lets go somewhere else, I can’t think straight”, She actually looked sincere. “Please Ashura.”

Smiling, he knew just the place to go. “What ever you say my lady”, grabbing her hand he pulled her slowly though the crowd one last time for the day.

After about 15 minutes of navigating though the shops and getting side tracked at an ice cream shop, Alice’s doing, they reached the wall of the city. It was actually a very beautiful wall despite its ancient creation, made out of a crystal and brick substances it sparkled in sun or shine. Ashura looked up at its enormity and trailed down a unseen path of brick placement that the two had marked out in the past. With following this marking, it leads down another 20 feet of the wall and to a tree that grew deep into the walls interior.

Alice smile had grown from the moment she realized, with seeing the wall, where they were going. Pulling her hand from his she knelt down on the grassy surface near the tree’s trunk and crawled through the five foot high grass until she was nowhere to be seen.

“Alice you could at least wait for me”, Ashura complained and took off his shirt. “you better hope I don’t get dirty. I like this shirt.”

Following after her he crawled mimicked her act in crawling through the grass and came to the base of the tree where a unseen burrow big enough for a medium sized human to crawl though. The path was a bit of a tight squeeze sink head grown a bit but Alice always found it sort of funny to see him struggle though the crack of the exterior wall at the end. Though within the short tunnel both crystals and roots mingled in a abstract beauty that lit the passage perfectly. Reaching the Cracked surface of the walls exterior he found his chest a bit of a tight fit which resulted in a few rug burns like scratches that he covered with his shirt once again.

As he pulled himself from the crevice Alice giggled a bit and smirked an evil little smile, “Ohh… Why are you putting shirt back on?”

“Shut up you”, He smiled back.

Coming to sit by her, the panorama of the spot could be seen for all its worth. A simple garden filled with both flowers and beautiful weeds even. The grass never over grew either it was like a magical spot. Their spot.

“So, do you think it was Jade?”, She asked twirling with a daisy.

“No…”, His expression soured at her subject choice.

“Why,” Her face scrunched up at his simplistic response.

“Because…it’s simple, Jade’s a myth it’s probably a soon to be exile. “, He stated his response with a ending tone and then transfigured his expression to one with more joy.

“but—“.

He had jumped on her pinning her down as she had him earlier yet this time with more intention behind it, “Stop thinking about it.”

Leaning down the tip of his nose passed over her lips causing her to quiver a bit.

“Ashura I really…”.

“Yes”, He continued on.

“I really wanna talk about thi..s”.

Pushing back away from her he stood and started for the crevice to leave, “ Damn it Alice everytime. I’ve told you things don’t have anything to do with you.”

“I know but what if it was that Jade Chick”.

“It’s a myth Alice a myth”, He turned back and started to step over the entrance.

Grabbing his arms sleeve she pulled him back towards her and waited for him too look back at her. As soon as he did she rose on her tip-toes and locked her lips with his.

“I’m sorry”, She whispered after pulling away. “I won’t do it again.”
Ashura looked hard at her and then dropped his head in a hard sigh. “Damn it Alice”

He Rushed up on her once again and embraced her to the ground. Not hesitating, his hands Rose to her chest and began to unclasp the buttons of her shirt. Stopping at the third button He leaned down further and let his tongue run across the summit of her bosom. Her back arched in a slight reaction to this making her hands clutch to his clothing tightly. Despite the pleasure that made itself quite present her eyes starred off behind him almost blankly…the thought couldn’t be erased so easily.
